Vidya credits filmmaker Milan Luthria:Cinejwala:

Bollywood actor Vidya Balan who swept away major awards for her bold portrayal of sex siren Silk Smitha in ‘The Dirty Picture’ has credited her filmmaker Milan Luthria for everything good about the film. Vidya is in awe of the filmmaker, as she feels Luthria brought Vidya into her character and without him the ‘Ishqiya’ actor would not have gone this far and tasted success.

Vidya has also expressed her desire to work with the filmmaker again. Earlier speculations were rife that Ekta Kapoor is planning to make a sequel of ‘The Dirty Picture’ to which Luthria contradicted saying that as Vidya’s role dies in the end and thus there is no scope left to take the story forward.

However, Luthria has kept the hopes alive by making another interesting flick with Vidya in it.
