Hrithik Roshan urges people to not compare:Cinejwala:

Hrithik Roshan accepted the offer to star in the remake of ‘Agneepath’ but since day one he has been urging people to not compare both the films. Hrithik before its release has claimed that though his film is an official remake of the original that came almost two decades back, it was very different as the team didn’t intend to fidget with the classic tale that starred Amitabh Bachchan in lead.

But unlike the original the remake has got off to a flying start as it has broken all the records and has collected a humongous Rs. 25 crore on its opening day. However Hrithik says that it’s unfair to compare both the films and the actors as well. “One should not even attempt to compare me with Amitji as the moment you start doing so, I will fail in the next very moment. Till now I am happy that people are not comparing my work with Amitji. I think what they are saying is I have done well in my way and they are cheering for me this has kept me happy” said Hrithik.
